Inspiring Others

#nursesinspirenurses

Today I received a text message from the American Nurses Association to email my local Senator and let him/her know that I support Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act.

I love being a nurse, I love the challenge of thinking on my feet and at the end of the day the feeling that I really made someone feel better. But let’s face it it’s not always uplifting and inspiring. Being short staffed is a daily occurrence, Nurses are running on their feet all day taking care of a patient assignment that’s far too dangerous for one nurse to handle…… and this is what makes nurses burnt out. I have worked in places where the nurses are working to their bones with little to no appreciation. In the end it’s the nurses and patients who the ones suffering.

SO how do we fix this?? Well I don’t know the today answer but I do think it’s important that nurses support one another. I always try to be the nurse i’d want to work with. Help others, answer call bells, put in work!

Secondly encourage people to go further with their education! Encourage someone you know to go to nursing school! If you work with a great CNA or have a sibling who you think would be a great fit into nursing encourage them and show them how easy it can be!

Become a member of the American Nurses Association. ANA will email and text you with updates of any nursing legislation that’s going on in our government. Stay informed! https://www.nursingworld.org/
